Why We Publish Our Ephemeris Standards
Every astrology site claims accuracy. Almost none show their math. Here is exactly what Alfalaki computes, with what, and why it matters.
01
VSOP87 and ELP2000
Planetary positions on Alfalaki come from VSOP87 (planets) and ELP2000 (Moon) — the analytical series developed at the Bureau des Longitudes in Paris and used across professional astronomy. They output heliocentric and geocentric coordinates to arcsecond precision across thousands of years. We expose degrees to one decimal, which is already finer than any interpretive text needs.
02
What we refuse to compute
Without a birth time, house cusps and the Ascendant are undefined — so we omit them and say so. This costs us nothing and earns trust. An astrology platform that will not admit an uncertainty is selling certainty it does not have.
03
The open roadmap
This page exists so you can hold us to it: same engine for every visitor, every language, every page — no easy math for the homepage and vague math for the blog. Precision is the brand. The readings are the poetry on top.
